Ok guys, hoping someone can help me out here. I had a barrel spun up and I sent my reamer and guages to the barrel manufacturer. Long story short, Canada post lost the barrel and reamer/guages. I need to order a new reamer and the barrel manufacturer is going to cover the new barrel. It's a 6mm Rem AI 1:8, I want to shoot no heavier than 105s but have had great success with the sierr 90 gr tipped game king. The reamer that Manson has in stock is .103 Freebore and I believe this may be too much for the Sierra 90's. They said for charge they could custom grind it and shorten the freebore. What would be a good middle ground to have so I can be relatively close to the lands with the 90's? I'm not looking for definite answer. I know the correct thing to do would be to send a few dummy rounds to them to measure off of, unfortunately mule deer season is approaching and shipping dummies from Canada down to the states, then back to me....then to the barrel maker.....it all adds up time wise. Anyways, any thoughts/help are appreciated.
