My out-of-the-box Sako Vixen in 6mm PPC shot so well I to this day seriously regret trading it for the heavier Target/Varmint model. It took me less than 6 months to come up with the best load for the Vixen. Aside from being too heavy, I could never get the T/V to shoot as accurately as the Vixen, AND the Vixen had far more beautiful wood~!!My Sako 6 PPC likes the 58 V-Max and H322, mil Surplus ball powder and Accurate LT32. I load them to 2.105" OAL with Federal Match primers. Shoots in the mid-2's in my gun.
I have to agree. Finding 6 PPC brass is really tough. I've resorted to buying "once-fired (?)" brass and having to rebuild the case in terms of neck thickness. case length, and shoulder location. Not much fun~!6BR reins over the PPC mainly because of brass availability correct ?
