14-twist PPCs have won more than a few varmint matches at 500 yards and 500m, and you'll see them at some 600 yard matchs.
Realistically, they can beat anything at 300 yards, but much past that, there's usually an advantage to shooting a higher BC bullet.
You could shoot a PPC type case with a fast twist barrel and heavier bullets of course, but then you might as well shoot a 6BR with its greater case capacity.
