Hi there i want to start loading 87gn vmax on my 6mm ppc but i have no min and max cant get any load data in SOUTH AFRICA.... is there anyone that can help me im using SOMCHEM S335 WITCH IS H355 OR N133

what is the rifling twist of your barrel?

1 to 16 twist its a truvelo

At the moment im using 80gn softnose bullets for hunting and they group very good but they are discontinued so have to change

19.1/2 inch barrel

The 87 grain V-Max will not stabilize in your 1-16 twist barrel. Sorry.

Thanx tommy i realized that on the range haha..... So i went down to 75gn vmax hornady and working like a charm

At what distance? Still think the 75gr are long for a 16 twist barrel.

Nope i have 80gn that work perfect on my twist aswell......

No worries. Glad I could help. I have quite a number of friends in ZA that hand load. I've see what you guys have to deal with first hand. For those that don't know, powder selection is extremely limited in South Africa and that's almost the least of the hassles. They need all the help they can get.

Yup you nailed it..... Atleast im a experienced loader so normaly go on trail and error but in a safe way...... And i can tell you now will never get rid of my ppc..... Best rifle i have with my. 308
