6mm PPC or 22 PPC brass

Is anyone making 22 PPC or 6mm PPC brass that is formed and headstamped correctly anymore ?

All I've seen in the Lapua 220 Russian that you seem to need to trim reform etc .

Few years back when Ruger and Sako chambered for both cartridges I bought some Norma brass I believe that was already formed and correctly headstamped . When I let the rifles go I let the brass go with them . Now I'm sorta looking for it again in anticipation .

Last fall Huntingtons had both 22ppc and 6ppc in Norma brass. www.huntingtons.com

It is good stuff. WD

There are places out there where you can order prepped brass, Brunos is one that comes to mind.

Probably still requires a fire forming but that's a toolless operation

I have 100 headstamped Sako 6 PPC once fired and 150 Norma headstamped 6 PPC once fired. All are neck turned to .262. I have about 600 Lapua 220 Russian once fired formed to 6 PPC and neck turned to .262. I will let go for $.60 apiece plus $5.00 shipping up to 300 per shipment. Let me know if you're interested. All are cleaned and annealed. I also have a lot of Norma 22 PPC headstamped brass .241 necks.

When I had a 22ppc, I bought 50 Norma cases from Cabela's. That was about 2 1/2 years ago. Don't know if they still handle it.

I have been shooting some of the "newer" Norma 6PPC USA brass and find its durability improved as advertised. Primer pockets have stayed tight so far. Can't say that for the "older" Norma 6PPC USA brass. The newer brass can be identified as the head stamping has a dot "." between the 6PPC and the USA. The older brass does not have the dot. The newer 6PPC brass has an unturned loaded neck diameter of approx .266

As said above, Norma 6PPC brass. I got mine from Bruno's. I haven't had any problems at all.

I emailed the Accuflite place. will be interested to see what he says. Wonder how the Lapua 220 Russian would compare to the Sako brass for a 22 PPC?

I once bought 500x Sako 6PPC USA cases, but they are quite soft and pockets don't last as long as the Lapua 220R brass.

I have about 300 Sako 220 Russian brass, most are new, a few were fired once. They are about 30 years old. All clean and tumbled. My father shot bench rest 6mm ppc. $150 plus postage.
