I think some lots of all powder are are good or average or in some cases just will not shoot you will wear out a barrel trying to make them work. Now that components are scarce the bad lots are being sold ..... jim

I checked my velocity back in Sept using a Labradar. Using 28.7 gr of 2015 N133 with a 65 gr bullet, I got velocities of 3315 and 3330 fps. There’s still room in the case for more powder. If my rifles didn’t shoot well with that load, I would find something that does.

You pretty much summed it up Tim. When your stuffing a certain lot to the brim and the most your getting out of it is 3100 fps and not your usual 3350 to 3400 your going to get used at a match I don't care how much you learn how to tune that slow lot of powder.

I had no problem at all using a funnel with a 8" drop tube getting 30.6 of my second lot of 2015 in a case without compression using a 67grain BT. Could not do that with the first lot, it was "fluffy"
