6MM International

I have a 6BR 7.5 twist 1.250 barrel that needs to be set back. I was thinking since I replaced the barrel, I would go old school, and rechamber the old barrel in 6 International. I have the dies and 300 new 250 savage pieces of brass. I just need a reamer.

Is anyone still shooting this cartridge? How do you think it would work with 105 VLD bullets?

My most favorite gun a 40x in this caliber, with a Unertl scope was stolen 16 years ago. Just feeling a little nostalgic. Thanks, Chris

I have a 6mm-250 that I built way back in 2002 when Tubb was extolling the 6X. It has an 8 twist and shoots the 7s just fine.

I'm willing to bet the 105s work great, and I bet you can get them up around 2900-2950 no problem.

I shot a 198 don't remember X count at Camp Perry during the any sight match with 107 MKs several years ago. Always liked the long neck of the International.

Lapua offers 22-250 brass. 6XC is a 6 International with the body taper taken out, more or less.

I would do the XC rather than the 6 International.
