6mm GT case capacity

Good Afternoon,
So I am working with 6mm GT, new Peterson brass, and Hornady 65 Vmax bullets.
Just making up some quick sighters, not going to develop these for groups or anything like that.
Powder data from Hodgdon.
37.x is the starting load.
38.0 of Staball Match gives 100 pct. case fill.
The data says I can go to over 41 grains.
39.5 comes not quite to the top of the neck.
Have any of you played around with compressed loads in this cartridge?
Or is Peterson brass just thick-walled?
Thanks

STAY at, 1/2 to, a Full grain Under ANY Max Loads with, Peterson Brass as,. It's, a tiny Bit,.. THICKER, brass.
You'll be able to put, a Little More Powder in Case, once "Fire formed" to, your Chamber.
It seems to "Work Harden" a Bit and I'm "Having to Anneal" after, the 3rd firing, on my 6.5 Creed Brass Not, a big Deal !
Can't tell, the difference, between Peterson and Lapua Brass for,.. Accuracy !
Quality, "Stuff" !

StaBall 65 in, a 6 MM or 6.5 Creed, seems to, Work best at,.. NEAR Max., chg's,.. IMO
And I use, the Heavier weight Bullets, in Both, Cal's with, StaBall 65.
I use it with, 95 to 108 grain Bullets in my 6 XC and 130 to 147 grain, Bullets in 6.5 Creed and It shoot's, TINY !
I Use both, Peterson and Lapua brass, in my 6.5 Creed and I CAN'T tell, the difference, in Accuracy

I am at a touch. I wouldn't call it jamming, no marks left on the bullet or hard bolt close, math says I'm right at the lands, guess if I had to call it something it would be kissing the lands.

Using the Wheeler method of finding the lands I have seen where I do still get a slight mark on the bullet when the click goes away. Maybe @Alex Wheeler can tell me if I’m very wrong on that assumption on some actions. lol.

Dark quiet room. No coffee. It helps. It’s also completely irrelevant- just a starting place.
I can see that helping.
Yes, I agree on a just a starting place. I see some good competitors here say they find a happy place with big square marks on the bullet, so if my touch has faint land marks and not pulling a bullet on retraction I’m good.

I have shot a whole bunch of bullets at the first hint of a mark and been very successful doing it, so no worries.

Probably won’t work with Hornady though ;)
