6mm Dasher Norma brass primer pockets

I am on 5-6th loads with first run of the Norma Dasher brass with stiff loads. I have pushed the loads a bit the last cycle and lost two pockets last cycle.

I have 400 of the second generation brass that I need to turn and have not yet shot, so I cannot comment on the primer pocket life of those cases.

Im seeing about 10% fallout after first firing

33 varget and a 107 2980fps

It could be the lot of powder. Have a Varget lot that will wreck Lapua made Dashers at 33gr also. But also had lots, that could go over 33gr without pressure.
Lot to lot consistency, Varget has been all over the board on me. Worse then any other powder.

I recently built a 25 Dasher based on the 2nd generation brass. I had absolutely no load data to start with. I took 100 cases and started shooting 2 shot groups (Larry would be proud of me) to get chrono data. Went pretty easy on the cases for the first firing. After that, I have cycled through the cases 4-5 times and have hammered them pretty hard on occasion...some light ejector marks and the rifle shoots best at max loads. The primer pockets are still tight using WSR, 450's and Remington 7 1/2 primers. Shooting 100 gr SMK's, 110 BIB's and 115 Bergers.

I'm shooting the second generation Norma F-Class Dasher brass. First couple firings were moderate on my set of 15 test cases-2,850 fps. That set of cases was just annealed to be shot for the 15th time. No issues at all. After the first two firings, I have run 105's up to as high as 3,060 fps. Chronograph was an Oehler 35P.

Same loading I used with 108's on my first generation brass for maybe 10 uses each piece. Tight and i mean real tight right now and I just retired that barrel. Surprised you had issues with it. Think I have maybe 185 pieces, some near unfired and you could probably do another barrel with them.

I liked the 1st generation Norma Dasher brass.

Of course now that I am switching all my rifles to BRA may as well sell that lot of brass off for a "song". Gotta pull maybe 50 and probably do that with the thought it will be good for many more uses.

33 grains is way hot especially for the first firing. Been happy with 31.5 gr varget and 105hybrid. Going on 6th firing for one lot of 50 and there tight as factory in my opinion. Havent lost one yet with cci 450s expect that many more loadings or more left
