6mm Creedmoor brass

I have always used Lapua brass in my 260AI.

I am putting together a 6mm Creedmoor AR10. My question, would I be better off necking down Lapua 6.5CM, etc.

I am not a fan of Hornady brass.

LitLBoy is giving you good advice. Peterson announced they will be coming out with 6mm creedmoor in both small and large primer this year. I’m a huge Lapua fan and gave Peterson 6.5 Creedmoor brass a try a year ago or so. I like it enough I ordered some 308 brass too. The brass I recieved was the most uniform brass I have ever had, they also packed it in a 50 round usable ammo box with a foam insert to protect the mouth. I think I paid around 37.00 per 50 plus shipping. I hope they expand their line further, it really is high quality stuff.

Thank you gentlemen! I will look into the Petersen brass.

I ordered (100) pieces of Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass from grafs on sale for $117.

My RPR in 6 Creedmoor got here yesterday and was thinking about Peterson brass. I'm not sure which primer size to get. Is there a reason I shouldn't get small primer pockets? They show it as $38.50 per 50.

Depends on the firing pin to hole size fit. Not sure on a RPR.

Until I get the firing pin out of the bolt I can't measure exactly but the pin measures appx. .075" and the hole is nearly .080" in my bolt on the RPR.

Anyone tried the Alpha? They make small and large primer. I have some necked down lapua but I hate prep work. Trying to decide between Peterson and Alpha.

I’ve been necking down Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass. But I just ordered 200 Peterson SRP brass.

I just received some Peterson 6mm Creedmoor brass with the SRP and it looks really good, weight was within a grain, the main thing I noticed is that it was right at 20 grains heavier than the Hornady brass I was using !!

How is the capacity of the Peterson brass vs Lapua (I currently neck down 6.5 Creed Lapua to 6 Creed)? I have some Peterson SRP brass on the way and am wondering if I can load the same 41.5gr H4350 that i use in Lapua Brass.

From Peterson Cartridge today, 6 Creedmoor SRP has a .060" flash hole, approx. 53.1 gr. H2O.

Now if I just knew the H2O capacity of 6 Creedmoor Lapua brass, anyone?

Just got out of the Hospital Heart surgery brass had arrived very quick Comes in plastic boxes From the looks of it it's very nice

Not sure if I believe Peterson holds that much H2O cuz an average piece of Hornady holds the same amount.
