6mm creed deer bullet

If you are taking 500y shots on deer, might I suggest you 1) select a tool more appropriate to the task and 2) improve your hunting skills to close the range.
Respectfully Mr. Hohn, in order,
Point one is what this discussion is about, I usually take two rifles. My old 300H&H is quite capable of the task, but the OP was asking about the 6mm which is the other rifle I carry strictly for head or neck shots under 300yds because I don't trust it for the longer shots. I am just wondering if the new bullets are capable of handling the longer ranges with a body shot.
Point two, at 75yrs of age, my physical capability prohibits my stalking ability. That's the reason I hunt from a stand and as I explained in an earlier post, the big ones are usually around the edges of the field in which I hunt. Thanks JohnIMG_20191109_090741076~2.jpg

Keep it cheap, accurate and simple. Look no farther than the 100-grain Interlock. I have killed over 100 deer with them at just below 3000 fps, in a 6 mm Remington, out to 400,or so.
