I've been trying to get my Sinclair neck turner set up to turn case necks for my 6MM BR from 268 to 262. Even though I'm using powdered graphite as a lube I'm tearing the necks off cases and tearing chunks out of the case mouth. If I get where I need to be I should have a case neck thickness of around .010", which is within SAAMI limitations. I couldn't get it in one pass so I bought another tool body figuring I'd make it in 2 passes. Going from .013" to .0115" was not a problem, going from .0115" to .010" was where I had the biggest problem. I even tried chamfering the mouths so they would go into the cutter with the less resistance. NO Dice.
I went back to 1 pass using RCBS case lube, bingo, it worked great.
My problem is how to get the lube on and in the neck. I can get the out side of the neck fairly well by rolling the neck on the lube pad on an angle, and the inside of the neck by rubbing a drop of lube into a nylon neck brush, but both are rather crude methods.
There must be a better way and I know some one else out there has it.

This is my first experience turning necks down for a tight neck chamber .265. I've turned many case necks half way just to clean them up a bit.
