Your chamber is almost identical to mine. At 2.350 oal, I am roughly .020 from the lands. My chamber was cut using a PTG reamer designed for Lapua blue box brass.

matt, which volume of the Sierra Manual do you Have ? My 4th Edition 50th anniversary circa 1995 has both the 22 and 6mm ppc and the 6mmBR. Is yours newer or older ? Thanks !!

(I consider it the Bible for reloading)

Mine is new one but listed the 6br as a 6br remington which threw me. Now I know 6br remington is a 6mm br. It is a new cal for me

My Savage must be broken. It doesn't like 30 gr of Varget. It prefers 28 gr of Varget and 105 Hornady. Speed is kind of slow but groups well.

Same here!!!!!! I wish I had an answer! I would perfer the higher speeds!

Was doing load development/breakin with the new brux barrel i installed. 30.4 gr of varget with 450 cci and 107 @2850 was consistently less than 2 inches at 600 for 5 shots. So much for load development, found the load after about a dozen shots through the new barrel. ;D

The bookworms must have gotten into your manuals. I checked my Sierra, Hornady, and Lee manuals and they all had a 6 BR rem section.

ryan, how much freebore do you have in that chamber? mine is about .115 and i am jamming 105 bergers .015 with 30.3 grains varget and wolf srm @ 2906 fps avg. that charge shot the best out of all loads including 107 sierras. the only thing with that load is that is is a little hot in my rifle which might be due to the .236 bore.

8" twist 28" bbl 29g Varget 105 hdy BTHP. Went to the range to test this. Started .018 into lands. Small 5 shot hole. Pulled out my trusty hand press and began shortening. Not so good. Went out w/ same load listed yesterday. Smaller 10 shot hole. Guess I'll try and creep up on the 30g suggested but am very happy w/ where I'm at. BTW tried RL15. Stuff crudded up my rifle so badly that nothing worked. Took 30 min. to get it all out.

Cleanliness is next to .. ..

Has anyone else had this experience ? RL-15 dirty, Varget, cleaner ? Thanks !!

I use RL 15, 17, and 25. Yes, it is dirtier, but it works in about 3 of my rifles! I clean the barrel about every 75 rounds!

I'm using 31.0 gr. Varget with 105 VLD's - 450 CCI primers in a 28" Broughton barrel. Shot .340 groups this afternoon. May be too hot for your rifle. Use caution.
