6mm BR AR-10 Build

Hey! I don't build semi's, but the WAG I come up with, is the same bolt for a 308. You might take your question down to the Gunsmithing forum. You may also try the Snipers Hide forum. Lots of guys building semi's, over there. The 6mmBR shares the same head dimensions with the 308 case. Feeding from a mag may be your biggest problem but I bet somebody's done it. Just have to find them. Josh ( I didn't see anybody jumping in on this, so I figured I'd get ya started. Maybe every one is off hunting?)
Got a few questions for you too:
AR-10 or a DPMS pattern such as LR-308 or RRLAR-8?
AR-10s and other 308 large pattern rifles are not really parts compatible, thus be careful. We all like to call then generic 'ar-10s' but the devil is in the details.
Second: have you looked into 6mm AR? I know you mentioned AR-10, I just want to make sure you're aware of what's out there.
Finally, the AR-10 has many 6mm variants such as 243, 6mmXC, 6SLR and on... Most if not all have a bit more case volume than 6mm BR. I would assume that they're onto something that 6mmBR didn't quite provide in the large format black rifle.
Currently popular is 6mmx47 lapua, and 6mm Creedmoor. I do believe that 6mm BR would fit the 308 bolt as will these rounds.
