I'm new to the site and have enjoyed reading all the helpful information. I just re-barreled a custom rifle I have with a 6mm AI Lilja 3 groove barrel with a 7 twist. It's 26" with a Vias brake. Hoping to shoot 105 VLD's and 115 VLD's and probably 105 A Max. Any suggestions on a good powder to start with. I'm shooting H4350 in my 6 XC but because it's hard to come by was looking for something different for the 6 AI. Any suggestions would be helpful.

With the 105's IF you are hunting, not target shooting, use RL-22... If you are planning on using it for Competition, try IMR 7828.... For the 115's H1000 is the way to go, whether hunting OR target...

RL22 or Ramshot magnum. You may have a problem with the Amax coming apart with the fast twist and speed of the 6AI.

Thanks for the help, I'm sure you're right about the A max. I will give RL 22 and H1000 a try. I also have some Ramshot but have never had any luck with it. Would like to see it work as I have several lbs. Thanks for the info.
