6mm AI load and twist "dilemma"

I have a budget built 6mm AI that is nearing completion. It's an 8 twist Rock Creek barrel that I picked up used.

I was planning on shooting 75 V-maxes until my gunsmith told me this thing could safely push that bullet close to 3800 fps. This means the bullet is turning 342,000 rpm when it leaves the muzzle.

Does anyone know if these bullets can handle that many RPM? Any other good bullets that make a good splat on varmints I could shoot out of this thing if they won't?

Thanks.

I shot them that fast from my 6DASHER and had no problem. I switched to the 87gr only because of the wind factor here in Montana.

If you have an 8 twist, take full advantage of it and go with possibly 87 to 95 grain class, as was said already, will bust the wind better, and they are still humming.

Richard Franklin loves 6AI with a slower twist and 75 grain V Max's, go to home page and do a search under 6AI or Richard Franklin, and also google "Mike J's 6MM Ackley Improved reloading page" for more info.
