:thumb: very, very nice...in all respects. Beautful stock, action, and groups,I guess most important of all).
What did you use to get the action so polished?
Did you do the clear coat yourself?

gorgeous,
Mike

Thanks for the compliments.I did all the work, the stock was done with dupont chromaclear 14 coats I use it for clearcoating bikes,I did 3 coats then wetsand with 400 then 4 more and wetsand then 7 more. The action I first sanded the warning target trigger off with 400 then I used a hard felt wheel with a gray compound around the lettering and edges so they wouldn't get rounded then i used a white compound it's like brownells 555 on a soft felt and then a loose wheel, and a dremel with a felt bob for small areas, the barrel i used 400 then 500 then gray and white compounds.I'm a gunsmith and haved buffed many guns before blueing, takes a while to do them right and get out all the marks from the last compound.I like the scope it's clear I shimmed it to get as much elevation as I could,I would have put a nightforce on it but funds were getting low and my wife would kill me!She thinks I have too many guns now,I told her there is never too many!Like money never too much!LOL!

How was the stock fit? And did you bed it as well?
The stock fit was pretty good I had to take some some wood out around the trigger area so the trigger and sear had enough clearance and barrel channel was hitting on the left side and bottom and it was pillar bedded but i took wood out of the recoil lug and around the pillars and sides and glass bedded it with accraglass gel.

I'll be doing loads for a similar gun. What kind of velocity are you getting?
I'm using hornady 87 vmax and 87 hpbt the vmax i'm getting 3660 fps with 52.5 grains RL-19 with cci br primers and jamed .010 into the lands and 1/4 inch or less groups I did push them to 3725 with h4350 and the pessure wasn't bad but the remington primer pockets wouldn't hold it seemed like the h4350 was building more pressure in the case burning faster i'm gonna give it another try seems like the 19 burns in the barrel but with some loads i was getting a little soot on the neck so i'm gonna try mag primers but on the burn rate they are close so I'm trying winchesters now I fireformed a 100 today and they shot so good I was shooting flies at 100 yards and I moly coat all my bullets. The 87 hpbt I'm getting around 3550 fps but the groups are great and the are just touching the lands,I'd use them for woodchucks but I don't know how well the explode and i know the vmaxs are nasty. What Length barrel you using and twist?I have a pacnor 30" 3 groove 10 twist .270 neck.I'm gonna get out the chronograph tomorrow and check some speeds and I'll let you know, but here's 2 groups with the 87 hpbt I shot.

Fireball,
Mine's similar. A 30" Krieger 12" twist, .272nk on a 700. With the .240Gibbs barrel it shot 70's into groups like the small ones in your picture. The 70BT at that speed will just demolish a rockchuck, but making brass is no fun. A friend was shooting 70's at 4150 through his 6AI with a shorter barrel, so I decided to give it a try. My gun is strictly for rockchucks.

Are those groups and velocity fireforming? If not, what's the fireforming velocity? Just goes to show that guns can't read a loading manual, and what matters is what works. The woodchucks aren't gonna like that gun. Hope my rifle shoots as well as yours does.

Looks like everything works beautifully. The Sierra V Manual lists a max load of 46.8gr / R#19 with an 80gr. bullet. Your load is 52.5gr and an 87gr bullet- that's almost 6gr more with a heavier bullet. Are there any signs of overpressure with that load? Or is it only with the other powder going faster? Thanks.

My fireforming load is 49.5 grains rl-19 with a 87 grain moly coated bullet and that was a max load for a standard 6mm,if you went by there loads I might as well use a 243! They are afraid of law suits so they load way under max.
