6MM Ackley Loads. Help Please!

I am having a rifle built by Kevin Rayhill based on a Savage Target action chambered in 6mm Ackley Improved. I will be shooting woodchucks and prairie dogs at long ranges.,600-1000yds)
I am going to try the new 108 grain Bergers and H4831SC to start but I am having a hard time finding reliable load data. I don't want to mess up my new rifle or my old body so any loading advice would help.

Golfer I had a 6.5x55AI built last year and posted a request for load data. I received a lot of responses but the best advise I got was to start at the high end of published data for the cartridge and work up loads to about 6% more than the high. Start your ladder test at the high and inspect for pressure signs as you go up. I have heard that you can do the ladder as you fire form but I prefer to have all my cases be fire formed with the same load first. One good thing about my AI is that the brass does not grow very much. Enjoy your new rifle.

I would love to use the Ladder method to find a "node" but I only have a 100 yard range. Results would be inconclusive. My main concern is about using an appropriate powder and a safe charge weight. The max load for 6MM Remington with 4831SC is 46.0 grains. Will I be safe starting out at that level for my initial fire forming? I intend on shooting varmints with my fire form loads. Once I have a supply of fire formed brass I will then develop a new Ackley load.

I would prefer to use H-4350 instead of H-4831 to do the fireforming chores.
The high side of a parent case load will not cause you any problems with the powder you choose to use...

In my chambers, I start 1 gr. below max of the regular 6mm data. Powder choice hasn't really mattered for me that much. But I usually use H4350 for fireforming, in this case.
