A kind of IMP vwrsion is made with a 6 BR reamer run into a slight crush fit go-guage length for the 6.5x55 case. Simple case of necking down and away you go

why don't you investigate a 243 AI and a 244 AI and save yourself a lot of expense in dies and reamers? The 243 AI in particular is very user friendly!

You can make one bu just necking down a 6.5x55 with smaller bushings in a 6.5x55 bushing die.
You could probably do it in one step.

Redding busing die and some appropriate bushings and you are away.

Reamer wouldn't be hard- lots of smiths have body reamers and threoating reamers seperate.

Quite easy to make up a chamber.
Use good quality brass oan load upto 308 pressure levels in a good action- NOT EX MILITARY- and you will be coming close to a 6/284 in velocity with less powder and long brass life.

The 6.5BRx55 idea gives you an semi improved case with less case taper but will steel feed from the magazine because the shoulder isn't "to sharp"
