Just wondering in a 30" barrel with 105s what speed could I expect approximately with a 6mm-250 or a 6mm-250ai

Probably around 2700-2800. Run some through a chrony, with the 30 in barrel and see. Why a 30 in barrel ?

22-250 brass, especially quality brass, is hard to get. Maybe your sitting on a pile of it but if your not I’d consider the 6 creed or 6 XC just for the fact that a guy can get either with good brass options, quality brass.

6XC is the easy button and honestly you will not regret it. Amazing cartridge very easy to tune, devastating on game or targets. I have a two of them, currently both are running 105 class bullets around the 3050 mark.

Truth is they're all so close its kind of a moot point.

In my 24 inch, 6 XC, I can Touch 3,000 ish FPS with, 107 gr. SMK's and 5 of them, will go into, the LOW 2's to Mid 3's using, the 107 SMK,.. Lightly "Jammed" and 40.7 grs of, StaBall 65, F-210 M pr's and with,.. "Thrown Charges" !
This "Accuracy load",.. Chrono'd,.. 2,980 FPS in Norma Brass.
Peterson and Norma Brass, are usually found, everywhere.

Well, there is some truth to shoulder angle and neck length helping with throat erosion, but I don't shoot either 6xc or 6creed to be able to tell you the difference. I do have a 6-250 though.

That's a,.. FACT !
Using about, 3- 4 grains LESS Powder ( Yup= 100-150 FPS, LESS velocity ) and, the Sweet, LONG Neck, make for MUCH better, Barrel Life than, the 6 Creed ( Less, Hot "Fire" at the "Turbulence Point" of, the case mouth / Throat ).
I DID my Research on, the 6 XC, before EVER, buying the Barrel. ( It's been Well "Designed"/ Proven by, D. Tubb ! )
LR Target Guys on Here, were Stating, 1,800 to 2,400 Rounds of, "Accurate Barrel Life" for, the 6 XC.
Cheap 6 Creed. Factory ammo, IS about All that, the 6 Creed HAS,. Over the 6 XC !
The 6 XC Has WON, at LEAST 4,.. 1,000 Yard,.. National Championships.
