Anyone have any experience shooting the 6mm Hornady 105 A-Max bullets? Do they like to jump, if so how much jump do you find they like? Do they shoot well in the lands? I have 500 of these and I was going to give them a try.

I am shooting them 0.010" in the lands. Worked better for me than 0.010" jump. I didn't mess with any other depths yet because the jam shoots so well as is.

I was loading 0.15 off the lands and was getting exploding rounds, lots). Hornady seem to think that moly and H4350 might not be the right combination for this bullet, and are suggesting Varget behind bare bullets. I don't know at all, because when they shoot they are fantastic.

My son shot them in his 6-250 and during a match in Wyoming they started coming apart.,He was using Varget by the way.)

I shot them with most of my 6.5s and I loved them. When my son got his 6-250 we tried them in it and it was a tack driver until they started vaporizing down range. Hornady has a problem and they won't recoganize it. They want to blame everything else other than thier bullets.

sorry never used them in anything other than a 6.5x55 and was getting avg sub.5 with 3 shot groups using the Moly coated ones.

My teammate shoots them and he seats the .005" off the lands. I have found that the .005 off the lands works great for the 178 and 208 AMAX bullets also. Any farther out the groups open for me.

I'm shooting them about .010" into the lands with 31gr of Varget. Somewhat of a hot load since I will need to bump the shoulders back. Never had any blow up on me. I was shooting them in my 6BR at ground squirrels over the weekend. Wind was about 15-20 mph and variable. They are nice in the wind.
