I'm having a 6gt built by Jon Beanland this it going to be a supressed rifle for hunting mostly coyotes at night.
Stiller predator action McMillian Rem hunter stock and a 8 twist Excalibur barrel right now I have a Bannish 30v2 but have a CGS Hyperion on the way.
Not really sure on barrel length am I going to lose to much velocity with a 16 or 18" barrel.

I have a GT with a 22" barrel and I am still able to get 2900fps with Berger 109s. I would guess 2800 would still be doable at 16-18"

At the loads you are talking about, an inch of barrel is worth about 20 fps.
