6Dasher barrel life??

What are the folks shooting 6Dashers seeing as far as barrel life??

My current long range rifle is using a Lilja three grove 8 twist heavy varmint contour with 2600+ rounds through it. I just shot the NBRSA 1000 yard Nationals with it and shot a couple of five shot groups at 100 yards after I got home from CO to see if it still has what it takes to shoot the IBS 600 Nationals at Pierre, SD this coming week. My two groups measured .220" and .186",,the .220 group included the first shot after cleaning).
To answer your question, I still do not know, but this barrel is still very competitive as it approaches the 3000 mark.

Hi Richard what powder are you using?

I have 600 rounds through my dasher and it is shooting as good as the day it was fitted just a small amount of heat cracking at the start of the chamber using 34gr Varget with a Moll 107gr SIerra

You may want to look over @ long-range.com. Most shoters using a 6br improved are getting sub 3k rounds...closer to 2500 in long range prone shooting.

I'm still using Reloader 15 with CCI 450's and Berger 105's about .005 off of the lands.
