6BRX Reamer questions

For a no neck turn reamer would JGS or Manson already have a print , or do I need to hunt down dimensions?

Should i get a rough reamer as well, or would a finisher be fine?

I do plan on calling on the reamers, but figured some of you know from experience.

Thanks!

They'll probably have prints to share for something not uncommon like that. No need for a rougher.

Something like this but possibly without the reduction in base diameter unless you accommodate for it with dies.

I’d skip the rougher, if you prebore the reamer see’s very little abuse but that’s optional.

What about freebore? This is dependent on bullet selection correct? Im planning on starting with Barts 105 Hammers. Not sure how much difference there are between Barts and lets say Bergers of the same weight?

Borgy,
I have a 6brx reamer that i'm not using anymore and would be willing to part with.
Pm me and I'll give more details. It's only been used a few times and is in good shape.

.104 works well with 107 smk in longer neck 6BR
I’d go more in short necked BRX, the .120 in that print seems reasonable to accommodate the shorter neck.

Your more than likely looking at Around .140 freebore and a freebore diameter of .244

Get the prints they have. You can modify anything you want. You probably want a 110-120 ish freebore. Talk to them.

I have a .140”fb BRX reamer and it’s perfect for anything in the 105-110gr range.
