6BRX, 115's, RL-17

Well the point that was made to me is why do it.. if the Berger 105's have the same BC as the 115's.. and you can make the 105's go faster than the 115's.. it seems like a moot point.. at this point at least.. but then.. the jury is still out on this one till enough ppl have tried it.. I will guess that it will work for some.. I am going to try it at least.. a friend of mine has both of the items and when my barreled actions get back from Randy Gregory.. at least for me the answer will be settled.. I will be sure to let folks know what my results are when everything is in place.

According to the Berger website, the 105 VLD has a 0.556 BC, and the 115 has a 0.595 BC. I'd think you'd have to run the numbers and figure how much of an advantage the extra velocity from the 105's gives you, if any.

That is what I am getting too.. there is not really any advantage to using the 115's in the 6BRX. But, and I mean But, if say that the RL-17 were to work with the 115's, given it's properties and the results that folks have gotten, then it would be a different ball game.
