6BRDX reamer

What kind of rifle are you going to barrel with a BR-DX?

I have a whole set-up (reamer, go, dies, barrel) I might be persuaded to sell.... Not sure why as it has shot lights out, but...

Thanks for the offer Mark. I just bought an Eliseo tube gun in 6BRX. For the moment, I am just looking for information. I like the idea of the neck being longer than the bullet diameter and will probably rebarrel in 6BRDX after I shoot this barrel out.

Two questions: How much? and... Why so much? ;D

Well i been looking around to see if anyone was chambering 6brdx and i found Richards custom rifles list it on their reamer list,so i thought when i was ready i might give them a call. maybe it will become more popular by the time i ready to build one and more people will be chambering it. They also listed a( 6brxdx) What the heck is that? I think the reamer they list is a no turn .272nk .070 free bore. i would have to do some research on the free bore but i think i will go the no turn neck route next one i build.

if your barrel is going to be a fast twist (7.5-8) i would ask if they could run a separate throat reamer in. .070 is a short leade. i would go a .110-.120 for the DX.

This also interests me.

What freebore are you guys running with the 6BR-DX for use with the 105-107 grainers?

My last Dasher I went with a freebore of 0.125", which was great. I would like to be around this area for the 6BR-DX reamer.

Bought a Full length bush die from Doug Paschall a while back, but never got around to ordering the reamer!!

Cheers

:)try emailing pacific tool and die for your reamers. chris matthews at long shot rifles llc built a 6brdx for me, and that is were he had his reamers made.

If you are going to go through the trouble of going to a new chambering, than get your own reamer! That way if you need another barrel you don't have to worry about finding a reamer with the same specs. You will also know how many chambers the reamer has cut and that it isn't dull or so worn from sharpening that it cuts a different size than what you already have.
Cheap insurance to insure consistency.
