6BRA with 109 Bergers

Have any of you guys been shooting these? How do they compare to 108s? I have noticed a 7.5 twist stabilizes them better according to the Berger calculator. Anyone had good luck shooting them in a 8 twist at 600 to 1,000? Are they as easy to tune as 108s?

Nothing is as easy to tune as the 108s! Seat 'em anywhere you want, they'll shoot.

I have no direct experience with the 109s, but word on them is they can be finicky when it comes to seating depth. Seems out of character for a Hybrid, but I've heard that with some consistency from those that have tried them.

I could not get to shoot good in my 7.5 twist rifle. The 109’s gave my BRA all kinds of pressure problems, 2nd firings and I was having loose primers. Gave up on the 109’s and went back to 105’s.

I've been shooting them awhile now out to 1260 and shoot great. I'm using h4895, 205m primers, 7.5 twist 28inch at 2860 ..have 25 firings on my brass Lapua. I see no reason I'll switch back to 108s which shoot good too.

Preach.

I have one 7.7 twist left and waiting on 30 more if you want one of my barrels.

But my 8 twist shoots the 108s crazy good.
