6BRA w/ 115

Ive asked around a few times, not much of an answer. Just got mine in this week so im going to load up a ladder to try this weekend

You might want to say you will be loading down a ladder with the 115gn powder charge. My 6 Dasher load with 105’s is 32.4 gn. With the 115 gn I’m at 31.3 gn. Using Varget with both bullets.

Im using 31.1 h4895 w 105s getting 2926 fps in a 26in barrel. Thinking to start at 28.5 with 115. Thinking around 2800-2830.

I know a few guys running them. They perform pretty close to a Dasher/BRX. However, the latest batch of DTAC (2019) are not the same as the last RBT's. They change something and they don't shoot the same. So buyer beware.

I did 31.6 of h4895 with Dtac coated 115’s 2835 out of a 26’’ Bart 1-7.5 i ran outta 105’s and figured what the hell, I had those for 6 creed. I’m just going to buy dtacs from now on. They are plenty fast and a bit tighter groups than the 105’s. I’m sold btw I started at 29.5 went up in .3

Finally tried dtacs in my bra, I could't get past 2825ish without getting alot of pressure at 29.6 gn of h4895. Didnt shoot well so Im thinking a different powder for the them would help

Try some RL15. I have been working with it in my BRA and it'll go about 150fps faster (with 105/107) than Varget or H4895 w/o pressure signs in my gun.

Look into MR2000 if you want speed, I ran this in a few different calibers with heavies that didn’t do to well with Varget. I was blown away by the lack of pressure and crazy speeds. It’s known to have temp swings but here it’s either 90* or 100* so didn’t matter much to me.

Thanks gilbert! I'm Unfamiliar with mr 2000, is it fairly stable? Summers here in norther NM can be 90-100 but early fall through spring can drop to freezing.

My weather here is from 88-100*
I haven’t had much swing in speeds but honestly I don’t have a big swing in temps.
It’s either hot, or freaking hot. Hell our winter got down to a blistering 66*

Alliant Power Pro 2000MR is the correct name

I guess that I did shoot 2" groups at 1000 with the old DTAC's is my point. Will the new one's?..... jim

I am not a rep for David or Sierra, but I am quite sure David Tubb would not go down in quality or innovation over time. Despite rumors to the contrary from a few squawkers, the new DTAC shoots quite well.

This new Peterson brass is also very impressive.
