6BRA load data

Ok well I got 2875 with 29.9 grains of AR Comp, 2950 with 30.6, and 3025 with 31.4. Never hit pressure.

I don't think that's too fast a powder or pressuring out. Not even a little bit for a 108 Berger. Chamber is Alex Wheeler with 272 neck. Lapua gold box brass

When flipping thru the 18+ pages of loads/posts - appears (to me) 2920-2990 is the prevalent speed range for the 6BRAI with the 103-108 class bullets.

The center of the node I found was 2950. And it shot the most consistently small and spreads from 2925 to 2975. So, I guess i found it!!

2875 shot teeny tiny. That's basically the 6br node from my last barrel. I may ring that one out too.

Does it fill the case to the same level as h49895 or Varget?
thanks Don
That I do not know it does have a similar appearance to 8208 but I think it's a little bit more fluffy and its density. It has a very small kernel size closer to say n133 or n135, 8208, Benchmark, or something like that. It's not at all like Varget in appearance Varget would have a much longer kernel size

Don't discount the slower just node because it's slower. I won my first 600 yard match recently shooting the Roy Hunter 106s @ 2860 in my Lilja barreled 6 BRA!

600 yard seating ladder

The same load shot well in my Krieger barrel at 1000 before I switched to the 103s.

I am certainly not ruling out that lower node. I'm considering developing the lower node because the cartridge is coasting and seems so happy there. And for the first time I can trust the lower node tune to stay put temperature wise. With r15 it was all over the place. Never consistent. Oklahoma weather is all over the map.

the ceiling of safe pressure & velocity is far higher than H4895 is my finding in most situations for me..

From the posts I would agree. I don't see anyone shooting near 31.5.

Not one legacy post about 6br and AR Comp seems to agree with what I have observed. Interestingly.

My point no one appears to be shooting that fast. Still trying to figure out why everyone kept saying it was "too fast".
at those speeds accuracy for me was not good enough or competitive enough so I go where the shots tend to have more of a gathering if you will. good grouping is like a bunch of "extraverts" in a room together, there all bunched up.

What you'll find is the faster you go the sharper the nodes get. The less forgiving they are of your loading mistakes, oversights and weather changes. In my limited experience, life above 3k fps is not nearly as consistent as life below it. Others experiences may vary, but that was mine.
