6BRA load data for lighter bullets

Just got a fairly light weight gun (Deviant hunter action, Brux #3 contour barrel, Manners graphite stock) put together. I would like to work up a load using Varget and 75gr VMax and or 87gr VMax bullets. I've read a lot of good posts for the 105's and heavier bullets but would love to hear if anyone has got a good starting place for the lighter ones.

Thanks for your help.

I have a 6BRA built with a #3 as well. So far have shot 55s and 105s. I sold my gopher gun (6BRA) to a local guy that shoots Br with us and he has the 87vlds shooting in the zero freebore awesome. Hes running ar comp. Ladder testing showed great potential around 31 gn. I like H322 for the lighter bullets.

Has anyone tried 8208 XBR with bullets in the 70 to 80 Gr. weight ???

Yes. I’m using it in a 12 twist BRA with 80s. Sparked by a Russian primer. Velocity tracks almost identically with H4895 in my rig. 3,300fps in a 4 groove .236 Krieger at 28”. It will go faster, but that seems to be where it wants to shoot. It seems to shoot a little tighter than 4895 and the smaller kernels are a dream for the FX120 auto trickler. Very clean, too.

Has anyone had much success shooting a mid weight bullet [ 95 or so ] In a 8 twist? BRI ?

thanks
