6BRA Heavy bolt lift

I guess that is possible, I’m using an LE Wilson 6BRA die, I haven’t heard too many bad things about Wilson dies..
It doesn't mean the die is good or bad. It would mean the relationship between that die and that chamber simply doesn't allow for sufficient sizing is all. Nothing "wrong" with either, just a poor fit of the two together. It's a fine line between just right and not enough sizing and everything has tolerances. Measure as best you can, the largest area ahead of the extractor groove with a good micrometer, not calipers. You need a minimum of about .0005(tenths), sized vs fired. Sized being smaller of course.

How many firings on the brass? Like Mike I'm leaning towards a clearance issue somewhere. There has to be room for brass to expand enough and then snap back. That can be at the base as well as the shoulder bump. Getting brass into the chamber is one thing but it doesn't always mean that all is good after firing.
Just the 2nd firing on the brass, the first being fire forming.
I’ve bumped the shoulder .002” and .005” with no difference in lift effort.

That rules out length, which is rarely the problem with heavy lift anyway. It shows up on closure. Bumping the shoulders back more has very little effect on diameter. If a case has .010 TPI(taper per inch) you'd have to bump them .100 to gain .001 in diameter. You can do the math and see how little difference it makes to diameter.

The Wilson Br-a fl die as per their tech is based off the JGS wheeler #1 reamer, I took a couple notes when I got mine.
.200 sizing .468
CSJ sizing .458

I had mine honed slightly and now I get .469 at the .200 line, I’ve also shaved the shell holder about .005 . I don’t normally have pressure issues unless I get lazy and leave excess lube somewhere.

My PTG reamer print is within a tenth of the JGS wheeler #1
OP, know what reamer your chamber is cut with?

Ok, put up with a couple stupid questions...does resized, unloaded brass cycle fine? Does a loaded round cycle fine? Is there a light load that you can try to make sure it's a pressure problem? Have you closely inspected the chamber/neck of your barrel (with borescope)to look for a rough chamber/ wall? I clean my chamber with a bore mop and 99% isopropyl everytime I clean, might try that....and, as stated above, make sure to grease your lugs....rsbhunter

I’ve had a similar problem twice since I’ve been reloading. The first time was caused by solvent left in the bore from cleaning and the second time was caused by insufficient neck clearance.

Now I always swab a bore with a clean patch and isopropyl alcohol before I take a gun out to shoot. I also check to make sure that a new bullet fits into a fired case neck.

Yes, definitely check bullet fit in a fired case to make sure it slips in easily. Had a 243 LBC ar that was showing slight pressure at mid level loads...at a match I tried slipping a loaded rounds bullet into a empty case. Would not go ... ended up turning necks from .015 down to .011 ! Might be a good thing to look at...rsbhunter

If the bullet "release" is restricted, pressure also rises in the case. At the speed that the pressure rises, any restriction can cause a spike in the pressure curve, causing resulting pressure increase in the case. Same principle of having light bullet/neck tension vs a crimped neck. Why most top level shooters try to keep neck tension so consistent. rsbhunter
