6BRA Dies

Just sticking my toes in the water of competitive shooting (midrange f-class) and have been shooting a straight BR. I have all the components to Start my next project which will be a 6 BRA. Any advice on dies from all of you who have hands-on experience would be appreciated.

Make? Type? I’ve also seen conflicting posts about using my same Redding 6br seating die; will it work in a BRA or not recommended? By the way thanks for all the information and content on here. It helps this pastor who has a shooting passion. Blessings!

I fired, neck sized cases with stout loads three times and sent them to Harrell's with instructions as to how much I wanted them sized at the base and shoulder (diameter). Back then Wilson did not offer a seater so I bought a Forster micrometer seater for a Dasher, and had a friend modify it. I have a way figured out to neck size with only a bushing, and have some advice if you go with the same seater that I did. PM me if interested. The SAC bushings are the bomb for concentricity. Brass springs back differently when using them so order .001 smaller than you would for a conventional bushing.

The 6BRX is .100 longer than the standard 6mmBR so I just back the die out away from the shell holder .100 and it is good to go for seating.

So the BRX has the same shoulder angle as a BRA just .100 longer?

I’m sorry I see you was talking about seating not resizing.

No, brx & br have same shoulder angle. Bra and dasher have same shoulder angle.

That Frankford arsenal die is legit. I've sold a ton of them.

I sell the LE Wilson and have sold more than a hundred of them. I also sell the Arbor Press seater. Which I suggest you move to arbor press seaters. It is one the real ways to shrink groups.

What kind of arbor press would you recommend? I’ve had a few people tell me that and I’ve researched it but the opinions are endless.
