I just started using IMR 8208 XBR in two 6BRs with good results shooting both 105 grain hybrids and VLDs. Good accuracy nodes have been found in the 27.3 thru 28.2 grain charge weights (varies with rifle and bullet). I’m still adjusting seating depths and will chrono when complete.
It meters well and burns very clean making for quick/easy barrel cleaning. Copper fouling is also very minor. I know it’s a relatively new powder (2009/2010?) and I’m wondering why it hasn’t gained widespread use? Sometimes powder shortages leads to trying different ones and pleasant surprises!
