I am shooting the 58 gr. Hornady V-Max in my 6 BR ( using AA2230). I was wondering what kind of velocity I could get using a near max (?) load?

It depends.

Proceed carefully shooting over a chronograph. Record everything. The velocity is going to change with temperature, lot of powder, etc.

Anytime that you go outside the known envelope, back off on the go-juice and verify.

I used to shoot a hot load of 2230 in a BR with that bullet. It would work great here in Alabama, and when I got to the Texas Panhandle to shoot prairie dogs, it started piercing primers. A lot of ball powders are famous for this. So, be careful.
