6br velocity question

I have an 8 twist pac nor. Finished at 22". I went with a relatively short barrel for a stalking varminter/coyote rig. Now I have an interest in steel safari..there's one fairly close to my house. Ranges were 100 to 1000 yards.
Shot this weekend with it. 95 Berger vld's at 2620fps. Reloader 15. Its I mild load. However with the short barrel, what powder do you guys think could get my velocity up as much as possible/practical. I was running the numbers and the ballistic difference between 2620 and around 2850/2900 is fairly substantial. I don't think I could make 2900 but who knows. I'm guessing the faster powders could get the most out of a short barrel. Any powder recommendations? I don't recall the r15 charge at the moment. There was room to increase as the primers hadn't even begun to form to the primer pockets. No other pressure signs either.
On a side note, this is the first time I have shot past 500 yards since I shot high power match at oak ridge with a garand. As a teenager. I finished 4th out of 22 yesterday so that was encouraging.

I'm not sure that this is even relevant, kind of like oranges and tangerines. Last year I was using a short barrel in 6X 47L, something like 20" and worked out a load using IMR 4064. Much better velocity and the accuracy was nothing to sneeze at either. Loading data is probably not out there, but be cautious and find a 4064 and RL15 comparison and work up carefully. RL 15 is my go to powder for my 28" 6BR. Remember...USE CAUTION

Try V-135. My short 23 inch barrel loves 135 with 87's.
Should give more velocity with your short barrel.

Thanks for the replies. I can't find the 105 hybrids anywhere. that's what I wanted to shoot but evidently the big scare is still full tilt.

From what I have heard here in the N.E states this problem with powder, buttets, etc will last until next year some time.Everyone is hoarding,or at least that is the roumor...

Well I just scored 300 105 vld's. Not hybrids but oh well. Beggars can't be choosers.

I find equal accuracy with 105 VLD and Hybrid in 6BR. The differences are the Hybrid has a slightly better B.C. and more forgiving seating depth. You won't go wrong with the VLD.

I'm excited to try them. The 95 did superb for me last weekend. Granted I'm not shooting br. The short barrel is doing what I need it to do.

I've built a 1:8 twist 6br and its not been a particularly nice experience!

Only projectiles that shows any promise is the 70g Speer TNT, which is the last projectiles that should work in a 1:8 twist! 75vm, 87vm 105MA all throw fliers.

What you need to realise is that although in "theory" you only loose 30 fps for every 1" so going from 28"-22" = 180fps in practice once you drop below one accuracy node, to loose 300fps to find the next lower one!

For the 105's I've managed to squeeze 2750 out of it, but not accurate, so suspect I need to be looking at 2600 to find an accuracy node.
