6br velocities

I don't have access to a chronograph and was wondering if someone could give me a clue as to what velocities I could be getting with the following loads.

30" barrel,6 groove)

sierra 107mk
2.361 oal
.010 off lands
varget 29.9 gr.
cci450 primers
38.5 case cap.

next,

lapua 105 scenar
2.345 oal
.010 off lands
varget 30.5 gr.
cci450
38.5 case cap.

I realize the velocity will be just an approximate but it will be close enough for me to figure my drops from 300 to 1000.

With your 105 Scenar load I get 2920 with a PacNor 3groove bbl and a 27" tube. It's not entirely certain 30" will give more velocity than a 29", but I would say you should be in the 2930-2950 range.

We've seen, with Varget, a gain of about 10 fps per 0.1 grain, go I would suspect your 29.9gr 107gr load to run from 2880-2900.

I have a 30.5" Border 6 groove, 1:8 twist. Lapua case, 450M's, 29.7gr Varget under a nekid 107SMK,, 2850fps.
