6Br shooting at the lower velocity accuracy node

I have been shooting my 107/R15 6BR load at max pressure. That equates to a mild weather load of 30.8 grains and 2950 velocity.

I am thinking about starting over and trying to find the next lower node to see if it groups better more often.

Any thoughts?

I have been shooting a mild load of varget 29.4 grs, 105 hybrid in my 6br. I have never chronoed it but I suspect it to be lower node. It aggs in the 2's @ 600. Never could get this barrel to shoot well with higher charges, and honestly I am glad I never did.

I suspect that is where I will find the lower node. The upper node is at 30.8 grains. The nodes are supposed to be right at 1.5 grains apart...

I'm currently working up loads for my first/new 6BR and all indications show that the best load is somewhere around 28 grains of RL15. In the process of trying RL15 from 27.6 to 28.4. Seating bullets .0020 off lands seems to be working well also

Ok then I'm going to start at 27.5 and go up from there. There are probably two nodes working up from there.

So... Again I am seeing the 1.5 spread per node.

I said the top node is at 30.8.

The second lower node should be at approximàtely at 29.3.

The next lower at approximately 27.8...

Of course these are ballpark.

Did you mean 0.002 or 0.020??

28grs varget behind a 105 hybrid just touching lands. Shoots great never had any reason to go up in powder charge.
