6br Remington with Lapua brass /new!

I understand that 6br Remington is different than 6br norma/Lapua. It's shorter and smaller at base.
Iv heard it said you can use 6br Remington in. Lapua chambers but not the other way around.

I came up on a reamer I need and it's 6br Remington. And I got lots of Lapua brass.
I don't mind trimming and turning necks.

I'm taking about using unfired Lapua brass neck sized and trimmed to form into a 6br Remington chamber

I guess it's a no go right.? It would be only for 68 pills

I'm reading more about it on here and I'm finding out. The Remington chamber is .006 smaller at the base. The alpha and Lapua may not fit.
At least this is what I'm finding out here .
Trying to find a reamer is no small task as I'm finding out.

You will have to order one. Get a JGS. It is a mistake to try to find a reamer on the cheap that isn't the reamer that you want

I have run Lapua BR brass in my .22BR Remington chamber for years. Just depends on the .200 dimension of the reamer. I wouldn't buy a reamer without knowing this spec from a print or in person. It can be done, just do your research.

If you're going to be in these games and do it at a competitive level, it seems fruitless to do all that work and practice and not get what you need.

One of the most important things is to be able to pick your chamber to do exactly what you want it to do. Then you can use whatever barrel you want to use but your chamber always fits your brass and your bullet. It's pretty important. I wouldn't skimp on that.

I agree with Brad. There’s too much involved and expense to do a rifle build off an antiquated reamer just because You have it in hand. Put that reamer up for sale to someone who is already into 6BR Remington. As You have pointed out Yourself, the 6BR Rem offers nothing but disadvantages compared to the 6 BR Norma.
