6BR Rem. 6BR Norma

the 6br norma has a slightly longer neck,.050 or .060") and the base dia. is also slightly larger.other than that they are the same.______treeman

Thanks treeman. This is my first BR build and I was really starting to rethink my decision. Seems like there's no standard dimensions, even though several manufacturers make dies, chambered barrels and brass for the caliber.
Made my brain hurt, so I called Pac-Nor and Forster this morning and feel better about moving forward now.
Pac-Nor e-mailed me their reamer prints which I'll send to Forster along with a die and 10 bucks and they are going to hone my die to match Pac-Nor's drawings. The 6BR article on this site talks about sending a few fired cases to Forster, but after talking to Bob this morning he told me they want dimensions in writing, not cases. I can understand why they don't want the liability of honing the die to the wrong size for a fee of 10 bucks.
I'm actually going to have the chamber reamed in 22BR so firing a few cases before sending die in to be honed isn't much of an option anyway. I have had such good results from Forster products over the years, I,m confident their advice will work.
Thanks Again
