6br reloading die option

Hey guys

I'm about to shoot a 6br for the first time. It will be chambered into a krieger 1 in 8", 4-groove, .236". Chamber will be a .270" neck with a 0.100" freebore.

I'm looking for a good FL sizing die option. I'd like to get a harrell's FL bushing die but guess I'll have to wait for that until I've got a few cases I've fired a couple of times prior to sending them off to get a die made.

In the meantime, I'm thinking of a redding FL s-type bushing die. My questions are:
1. will this die over-work the case body?
2. will i be able to bump the shoulder back with it?

if the answer is 1.yes and 2.no, maybe I should get a neck sizer until I can get a harrell's die sorted?

Over to the experts

Cheers, Justin

Get the Redding Competiton Bushing Die set. It comes with a body die that you can set up to just reduce the body a skosh and bump the should back a little. Great die set for us using presses. My run outs are in the .000 to .002 range with unturned cases.

I too am gettng a 6mmBr and think we will both have large smiles after ther first range day.

Thanks guys

I thought about using a body die and they are useful - but when I end up with a FL/bump die from Harrell's, it will become obsolete. I'd prefer to do the body/shoulder bump and neck sizing all in one pass, for accuracy as well as time expenditure reasons.

I think I'll go with a bushing neck die for a start, as gunamonth suggested - that way, I'll have the redding bushings that I can then use in the harrell's die also.

Too many choices... I wonder if that factor is the biggest enemy in this game?
