6BR primers

I can't across a smoking deal on muron sr mag primers. Had never heard of em, and figured at the worst I could burn em up in my ar15s. Tried done in my Dasher and br's, and now I'm burning up my federal and cci in my ar's
As near as I can tell, Murom, Tula and Wolf are the same primers in different packaging. They're manufactured in the same facility.

They're good stuff in small-to-medium capacity cases!

I normally use cci450’s, but I just jumped on 5,000 br4’s at a price that I couldn’t pass up. So I hope they perform just as well.
I have been using CCI BR-4's for over 10 years in my 6mmbr and I think they work the best of any, Federal 205 Match work great too. Buit I don't load over 30grs in my 1 in 8 twists guns and not over 34grs in the 1 12's & 13.5 twists. I have (6) 6mmbr's (1) with 1 in 8 twist and (4) with 1 in 12 twist and (1) with 1 in 13.5 that one is a Krieger.

I settled on CCI-400's with Varget and Berger 105 Match BTs when I was shooting 6BR in F-Class. I did a quick comparison with 450's early on when the barrel was new and got better groups and SDs with 400's. Probably should have followed up on it some more but the rifle kept shooting well and winning matches.

I've used Rem 7 1/2, 450, BR4, Fed match. The Federal have not been as good as the other three.

From what I can tell the other three are close. I mainly use the Rem or 450 just because of cost. BR4's are expensive (always have cost significantly more than the others). Which one is best? For me it has depended on the powder. For example, N540 has done better with the Rem primers. N150 better with 450's,

I haven't been loading 6BR for a few years and plan to start shooting it again. In the past, magnum primers were the go-to and CCI450s seemed to be the overall favorite.

Is that still the case? I have a large selection of primers and the 450s are not in the highest quantity on my shelf.

I have a LOT of GM205M that I would like to try and a LOT of Winchester small rifle primers. Quite a bit of Rem 7.5s also.

What's the current consensus on primers for 6BR?

Thanks
I just tried 205M's with older 107's Varget 200 yards first 3 in the same next two made the hole wider.

The Murom-made primers have thick cups and folks with weak firing pins or those who don't properly seat the primers all the way or have excessive headspace might encounter misfires. They are excellent primers, though - and I've fired many thousands of both the standard (they call. 223) and Magnum versions. With both the Tula and Wolff (also made by Murom), the Magnum small rifle primers actually produced less velocity over the chrono than Rem 7 1/2's and other small rifle primers tried. I get really good SD's with them. These are really good for use when other primers are getting a bit loose in the brass, too, as fit a bit tighter than most, requiring a bit more seating force. They have a slight oval top to them, as opposed to flat tops with American-made primers, so if using a flip tray, a little tough to get them to all flip over. Great primers.
