6br powder

i have a dilema. i need to order powder for my xp 6br. it shoots good with varget, benchmark, and blc2. i am loading the 105 a-max . if i order only one type what would you get? i am thinking if my groups are close with each that a different lot of powder could make eather one # one .

Good luck on buying the Varget! Powder Valley hasn't shown any in stock for months. You might have better luck finding BLC2.

If you can't find Varget look for Reloder 15, Norma 203B, or H4895 to use with the 105 A-Max. RL15 and N203B are very similar and will probably give a little more velocity than H4895. Both RL15 and N203B are more temp-sensitive than Varget, but they will probably give a bit more velocity -- in some guns up to 60-80 fps more.

I have used varget in the 6mm BR w/107 grain SMK's for five years with very good results. I recently tried the new IMR 8208 in the 6 BR, I am now selling my varget.

does any one use benchmark in 6br 105-107 gr bullet ? i do have some r15 but have not shot it yet.

Funny how every gun is so different. RL17 was the worst powder I tried in a 6.5-284 for accuracy, and pressure crept up very fast.

I tried it in a 6BR and got ok accuracy, but not stellar. I do know a fellow that swears by it in a 6BR in a 30" barrel

RL17 and Sierra 107s have been very good for my 6BR. From a 30" barrel, I am getting 2940-3015 fps (temp dependent) with excellent accuracy. Varget also performs very well but cannot get close to RL17 velocities at reasonable pressure.
