6BR powder volume

I'm running into a problem with my 6BR. I get a really low ES with 31.2 grs. of VV N150 and great velocity. However, it is a compressed load. I am shooting 108 Bergers and when I seat them I get significant variance in CBTO. 30.5 of Varget is a sweet spot with no compression and consistent CBTO but the velocity and ES are not nearly as good. I've checked all the other variables and it's definitely the powder pushing back against the bullet seating. Other than reducing the powder or switching to a different one, any suggestions?

Long drop tube, little more neck tension, a die that sizes the neck to the bottom at or near the neck/shoulder junction.

When you load at home, get to a match and find out if you check your length(If you did it on each case when loaded) is all over the place. I have first had experience or I would have not made the statement unqualified.

Just to clarify, don't USE A LIT MATCH to check powder level or anything of the sort. The results may be a bit shocking! Lol (Reaching far for a joke here)

Well, if the case is too full maybe just burn a bit off the top. I guess it doesn't make a difference if your not striving for best loading practices to include check, recheck, and check one more time.
