6br or dasher

Halfmoanut,

Both cartridges are extremely accurate, and since the Dasher is pushed about 150fps faster it will have less wind drift than the 6BR.

That said, I don't believe there is a need to shoot anything but the 6BR from 600 yards and closer. The reasons are simple: Extreme inherent accuracy, no case prep or fire forming, very low recoil, almost no load work required. Have the barrel chambered for the 105gr class bullets and no neck turn Lapuas and away you go.

We just held a Mid-Range Regional Course Match at our local range this past weekend with about 30 shooters participating. Shooters with 6BRs took the Gold, Silver & Bronze metals. I was able to shoot my first clean in competition and had three total out of 6 possible.

The Dasher is better for 1000, but I'll be sticking with the 6BR for 600 and in.
