6br or dasher

am building a new pistol on a Kelby Cub action and needed someone else`s thoughts on this.Am cutting barrel at 18in and am chambering it to either the std 6br or the dasher version.I only have a 1-14 twist barrel here at present and was wondering if it would be worth the extra effort going with the dasher verses the std case as all i`m going to do with this is shoot groups and some prairie dogs..Twist isn`t fast enough to shoot the long skinny bullets so i`m thinking the std 6br would be fine and i don`t think i would gain that much with the dasher version..What ya think???:wave:

Hi,

If you have a 1:14 then you will be shooting up to 70gr bullets. I think the 6BR has more than enough capacity even for varminting,3500+ fps). The Dasher would only be overkill and wear the barrel out faster with those bullet weights,60-70gr). It was designed to give the 107 a bit more speed and get it up to the 3000-3100 mark.

You could get 60gr bullets to 3800-4000 if you're looking to shoot varmint with it,6BR).
