6br Norma - 6br Remington-- One in the same?

I just got my new set of Redding dies today from my supplier for my new 6br Norma rifle build, I am using Lapua brass)and noticed that they are labeled '6mm B.R. Remington'. Did they send me the proper dies?

I'd check. A 6BR Remington case is about .035' shorter than Lapua/Norma. It's not the same chamber. Talk to Redding.

I spoke to Patrick at Redding about this very issue when I was getting my first 6BR a while back. Redding hasn't changed the name, but their 6BR Rem. work fine with your 6BR Norma chamber. It terms of not being an exact fit between the die and the chamber, only a custom die will resolve that and we all live with it. Load and shoot. Your are in good shape. tiny

Thanks guys. Just talked to a rep. at Redding and he said that I have the correct dies. He also said he gets about 3 calls per week over the same issue. Maybe they should think about changing the name??? Bill
