6br low pressure loads with cci 400?

i likely know the answer, but wanted to run this by the brain trust here. i found a varmint load with 58 Vmax that is running at .222 pressures (~45K psi). since the #400 was developed back in the day for the .222, would it be a slick cost savings to use them for this 6br load? midsouth has the #400 for $65.

i tried the even cheaper fiocchi small rifle and got pretty bad cratering - but that was on a more stout load.
(r700, bolt not bushed, factory pin, carbon ring under control)

I'm not a fan of CCI 400s, but they've held up, with some cratering and flattening on the edges, with loads up to around 60k, similar results as a Fed205. If I were running 40-55k, the only one I'd avoid, is the Remington 6 1/2. I believe Powder Valley had 7 1/2s for 49$ and 450s for 59 or 61$, just as a fyi.

I was looking at Midsouth shooter Supply site a week or so ago and they had primers on sale. Some I hadn't seen so low priced in at least 5-7 years. Much less than $65.00

I use CCI 400's for my normal 6BR loads (mostly running 50K psi, though I've also run up around max - 58 to 59K.) Assuming you don't get excessive cratering from your firing pin hole, you'll be fine.

I run 6mm BR with 68's and CCI 400's using 748 for shooting gophers and not serious match shooting. Try around 34 grains after checking your info. I find it very accurate and easy to load.
