6BR EC Tuner Results

Hey all. I wanted to share some results from a small test that i did yesterday. I find post like these have helped me over the years.
So I worked up a powder charge with a 107 Sierra that printed about 1” at 300 yards. I switched to a 105 VLD Hunting bullet by Berger (6 thou into the lands) and installed an EC tuner by @Erik Cortina Below are the specs of the barrel/Rifle as well as tuner results @100 yards. All groups were shot off a Harris bipod and armegeddon shmedium rear squeeze bag. Scope is NF NXS 5.5-22 shot on 22X

27” 1-7.5 twist medium Palma proof research (K.W Precision chamber) .273 neck
28.7 N140, CCI 450, Lapua brass, Sinclair tin expander mandrel,NEO LUBE

Very nice! Looks like a there's a pattern about every 4th group. That's a shooter!

Thanks for sharing. I think confirmation groups of more shots need to be fired during the same session to really see if there is anything there. My first go with tuner showed similar for three shots but none repeated with 5 shots. Still a very small sample though.

3= not enough data, 5= can get lucky, 10= a good amount for confidence for me.

IMO everyone who wants to screw on a tuner should watch this about 3 times beforehand. The tuner revelations start at 1:00 hour

This is one of the best pieces of info I have found concerning tuners. Tim has paid his dues experimenting with the tuner. I'm sure he is still learning but he has gained lots of knowledge.

Another tactical rifle match victory, but this time with this load and barrel. Tuner setting #3 carried over to 300 yards. 10 shots in about a half minute group with no rear bag. Just a shooting glove is allowed in this match. Very consistent.

I’d never shoot 30 straight in a row at a match . 3-5 tells you what the gun will do. 10 plus tells you what the shooter can do

It's impossible to make the kind of conclusions you are attempting to with such small sample sizes.

Took 3 shots on tuner setting 2 at 100 then went to 300 and fired 8 rounds at a 2” target . I’d say my conclusion is quite conclusive that this is where I need to be. ‍
