Posted this in gunsmithing but reposting it here in hopes someone that has done it will respond.

I'm looking at getting an HS Precision DMB setup for my 6br on a Rem 700 SA. I've tried to get the internal magazine to work but never had much success and from doing some research it seems like word out there is that the HS Precision ones work pretty well once you add a spacer to the front of the magazine.

I've seen people talk about using the 308 ones and the 22-250 ones and I'm wondering if someone could tell me what the difference might be in the to and what might be a little easier to get to work with the 6br.

Thanks

i use a ptg dbm with 308 size magazine works great as long as its a center feed center stack mag. it will work great with the br

I'm guessing the smaller 221 fireball size mag in a adl/bdl will be too small as well??

I've monkied with the internal mags, tried the 222 style box metal with a cut down 308 follower, tried a reg SA style box with a spacer in the rear.
Neither has worked out reliable and scars the heck out of brass. One thing that I think is hampering any success I may have is that I'm using the lighter bullets also.

I am running the 6 brx through three different guns with no problem, useing a wyatt bottom metal with 5 shot mags center feed. I would think that any center feed box would work for you. with the wyatt 5 shot i can get six in them no problems. I have had them on two guns for over two years no problems.

Good luck

I had a Wyatt's 223 10rd mag modified and it worked great. Only held 7, but functioned remarkably well. I still have the mag, no dbm if you want to go Wyatt.

I didn't modfy anything just useing the 308 mag. , the BRX is just .100" longer than the br and it works fine. you are able to seat the 105 out as far as you would like with plenty of room.

Thanks guys, may just set it up as a single shot then, not really wanting a big extended magazine, just wanted something to hold a couple or three.
