6BR Brass Question

How many loads can you realistically expect off of Lapua 6BR brass that has been annealed regularly?
24+ firings in my Lapua 6BR brass that was originally hydroformed into 6 dasher. Firing 105gr Berger hybrids at 3050 and I’ve culled only 12 pieces from the original 200 pieces I started with. I anneal every time and only full length size with bushings.

About the neck splits. The old guy that used to own one of the LGS told me he had a batch of 100 Lake City 30-06 brass the had been reloaded 60 times. I quizzed him on how he keeps it alive. He said it was cast bullet loads only kind of load and when the necks split, he would take a super sharp razor knife and cut a little scallop out of the neck to remove the split and soon enough the brass would stretch enough to need trimmed, and it would eventually trim out. I don't know if that would affect bullet flight or accuracy, but he was nursing that stuff to the max.

Don't know, nut I hav been using the same 100 Norma for 2 seasons -OK, it's not the only rifle I shoot, but they must e around 20 reloads so far and still fine. I anneal every reload, and try to not move the brass too far with correct bushings and a mandrel.

BRA .....
Until pockets get loose.
I shot the same brass 4yrs of constant matches and barrels every year and it was still going but i had done allot to it the last year trying to make it like new. So much brass had flowed to the sholder the walls were thin. I decided to go new out of caution. 3 hundred cases about 100 firings 30.6 varget .... That's the low node i believe. I might have lost 5 due to neck split. Annealing every time.
Bra/shooter check this out.

20-30. I've got one that I've put 3000 rounds through. Getting a stiff bolt now. Think it's because the web is not getting sized enough. That's In a 6ppc. Have a 6br that I've gone near 20 reloads on. I'd say I'll get another 10 or more out of them. Proper sizing does wonders.

I have a friend who shoots 243 win. Every time he gets a new tube chambered up....3500 - 4000 rounds... about once a year, he grabs 40 new Lapua brass. That 40 pieces of brass lasts him THE ENTIRE LIFE OF THE BBL!!

He said he hasn't lost a piece of brass in years, and has never had a tube go south where it quit shooing small.

80 to 100 firings...amazing

4000 accurate rounds out of a 243 Win....priceless

I've got a few batches with well over 30 firings. I did anneal periodically until I obtained an AMP. Now I do it every firing. I can't recall losing a case to a split neck. I maintain less than .001" shoulder bump.

I don’t doubt that’s what you was told but I’ve shot out several .243 barrels and lots of brass, I don’t even see a Ackley Improved going 80-100 reloading sessions and I’ve never got 4000 accurate rounds, maybe 2000 but if he actually did that’s cool.

First off,, he is the worlds tightest Frenchman. Second I know him VERY, VERY well. He LITTERALLY shoots every day of the year. Makes his 40 to 50 mile swath looking for youts during the winter and he shoots 1000's of pigeons off of farmers barns and grainerys (with the land lords permission, of course) Averages 10 shots a day...lots of days more. Light loads

His "accurate" on paper is stellar from what I see, and his yout and pigeon accuracy would be bigger....MOP and MOY.

I believe him 100%
